Mass Loaded Vinyl Barrier

is available in 1 lb and 2 lb/ft2 densities. It is a rugged all-purpose sheet barrier with a wide range of uses. Our Mass Loaded Vinyl barrier is supplied in a standard 54" and 48" width and variable roll lengths from 10' to 250' depending upon material configuration. Acoustic Lead Barrier sound proofing is available in weights of 1 and 2 lb. This traditional incombustible barrier material is supplied in a standard 48" width, and rolls of 12', 24', or longer as required.

Acoustic Carpet Underlayment

Marine Sound proofing is a composite material using mass barrier as a barrier in weights of 1 or 2 lb., and acoustic foam decouple. There is an option for a soft or firm acoustic foam layer that provides a comfortable feel. Carpet Underlayment attenuation reduces noise radiating from carpeted surfaces. It may be used alone or to supplement noise attenuation applied in motor spaces. Carpet Underlayment is manufactured in 54" width at 1/4" and 1/2" thickness. Acoustic Absorption Materials are used in applications where barrier treatments are not required. These treatments are manufactured from a wide range of base materials such as polyether foam, acoustic fiberglass, coast guard approved fiberglass, polyimide foam, and mineral wool. Acoustic Head and Hull liners also provide good absorption performance in occupied spaces. This family of products is delivered in various sizes and configurations ranging from 1/4 - 4" depending on the material specification.

Acoustic boat engine room insulation differences between Gas and diesel motors :

 Diesel motors sound acoustic main frequencies are prevalent between 80 to 250 Hz with 105 dB value, upward to 1500Hz. These are mixed with noise generated at frequencies up to 850 Hz. The mix and match of sounds creates additive sound  waves, causing the diesel motor low tone sound perception.

Gas motors sound acoustic frequencies are prevalent between 150 and 2000Hz. with 105 dB value. These are mixed with noise generated at frequencies up to 2000Hz. The mix and match of sounds creates additive and destructive sound waves, causing the gas engine mid to high tone sound perception.

For compartments with ample space clearance: COMPOSITE 2 /2"  applied to engine compartments ,may reduce sound from 105 db to 85 dB for  DIESEL and GAS ENGINES.
When used in combination with vibration isolators, the COMPOSITE 2in /2 lb may complement / optimize sound perception as low as 77 dB.

For large /mid size with reasonable space clearance COMPOSITE  1inch/ 1lb applied to engine compartments ,may reduce sound from 105 db to 85 dB for DIESEL and GAS ENGINES. When used in combination with vibration isolators, the COMPOSITE 1/1LB may complement / optimize sound perception as low as 87 dB.

For Compartments with tight space clearance : COMPOSITE 0.5 inch / 2 lbs or 1" INCH 2LBS applied to engine compartments ,may reduce sound from 105 db to 85 dB for DIESEL and GAS ENGINES. When used in combination with vibration isolators, the COMPOSITE 0.5in or 1" /2 lb may complement / optimize sound perception as low as 77 dB.
